From Liz Botts
Believe by Liz Botts
Eighteen year old Virginia didn't ask to be the oldest daughter of the current Santa Claus, nor did she ask to be betrothed to a complete stranger. When the elf elders turn her world upside down by announcing that she must convince her fiance, Nick, not only to marry her but also to become the next Santa Claus, Virginia has no desire to have any part of the craziness.
From the beginning Virginia's interactions with Nick are filled with awkwardness, tension and disbelief. Despite Nick's love of the holiday, he has no openness to the magical or the mythical. Still, somehow the two forge their way toward one another. Meeting a special little girl named Merry helps Nick and Virginia bond and focus on the true meaning of the Christmas season. Virgnia quickly grows to love and trust Nick, with the only dark spot being his disbelief in all the things she tells him. Nick for his part must come to grips with meeting his real father, the King of Winter, and the fact that he does indeed possess magic.
Will the Nick and Virginia be able to overcome all of the exterior forces seeming to control their lives and fall in love with one another in time to save the future of Christmas?

Tina Moss
Tina Moss is an author of urban fantasy, paranormal romance, romantic suspense, and New Adult novels. She lives in NYC with a supportive husband and alpha corgi, though both males hog the bed and refuse to share the covers. When not writing, she enjoys reading, watching cheesy horror flicks, traveling, and karate. As a 5'1" Shotokan black belt, she firmly believes that fierce things come in small packages.

Repped by Frances Black & Jennifer Mishler at Literary Counsel.   Yelena Casale writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance. She was born in Kiev, Ukraine and came to New York at the age of 13, which gave her a great perspective into two very different cultures.

Yelena CasaleYelena believes that the world of vampires, shifters, angels and demons is a wonderful way to escape and let her imagination run wild. In Yelena’s ideal world, she would be a full time writer and travel as much as possible, experience various cultures. She’s also a second degree black belt and an instructor of Shotokan karate. She is represented by Literary Counsel.

A Touch of Darkness (Key, #1)
Cassie’s working for a tightwad boss at a pretentious NYC diner, dealing with paralyzing pain that doctors can’t diagnose, and trying to hide her hands that glow purple whenever she ...well, whenever.

So, when a mysterious stranger walks out of her dreams and into her life to spout some nonsense about her being a mythical creature, she chalks it up to one more crazy thing to add to her it’s-a-crappy-life list. Yet, when the stranger’s predictions start to come true, she discovers a world that could shake up her humdrum existence.

When she's not writing she's singing karaoke, burning dinner, and hiding her superhero identity. She'd like to own a unicorn one day, as long as it doesn't eat her.

Kaliel didn't think second chances came with this much turmoil. Exiled from her home, surrounded by strangers and in love with a boy she barely recognizes, she can't take it. She has her best friend, a new mentor, and a chance to win the war against the Valtanyana, but it's all wrong. Michele Barrow-Belisle is chocoholic author and artist living in southern Ontario, Canada with her super-sweet husband, brilliant son and a ridiculously affectionate cat. Often told by teachers to stop dreaming and get her head out of the clouds, Michele still spends much of her time lost in make-believe worlds, populated with fascinating and occasionally terrifying characters. Her passion for fantasy extends beyond her writing into her clay figure sculpt-ing, creating miniaturized replicas of the paranormal beings she writes about. Michele is as passionate about reading as she is about writing. When she’s not reading or writing, she can be found sculpting tiny fairy desserts in polymer clay. She also loves mocha lattes and watching fireflies at twilight. Did we mention she loves chocolate?

Fire And Ice
Adventure wasn’t something Lorelei Alundra was interested in. Gifted with two otherworldly talents for singing and healing, she’s always shied away from her gifts and the spotlight, preferring quiet anonymity, over attention and fame. But when she meets the enigmatic Adrius, with his dark and dangerous mystique and eyes that peer into her soul, her uneventful life becomes irrevocably altered.

Adrius turns up in every one of her classes and knows more about her than any newcomer should. Including the condition of her mother who is suffering from a mysterious illness. Accepting his offer to help leads her into a terrifying and thrilling world, where Elves are even hotter than Legolas, and Faeries.... are nothing like Tinkerbell. Lose the butterfly wings and add a tattoo. The two magical beings are fire and ice opposites. One Lorelei can’t help falling for, and the other she's compelled to be with.

Now she’s trapped in their world, expected to prevent a war between witches and faeries, or forfeit her mother’s life. Nothing is what it seems. Not her family. Not the Fey. Not even Adrius, whose feelings for her balance precariously between danger and desire.

As secrets unravel and unsettling truths are revealed, Lorelei must fight to save much more than her mother’s life. One mistake could put the fate of his world— and her soul, in jeopardy.

But hey, no pressure… right.

“Find Me.”

These are the words written on Tessa Waye’s diary. The diary that ends up with Wick Tate. But Tessa’s just been found . . . dead.

Wick has the right computer-hacking skills for the job, but little interest in this perverse game of hide-and-seek. Until her sister Lily is the next target.

Then Griff, trailer-park boy next door and fellow hacker, shows up, intent on helping Wick. Is a happy ending possible with the threat of Wick’s deadbeat dad returning, the detective hunting him sniffing around Wick instead, and a killer taunting her at every step?

Foster child. Daughter of a felon. Loner hacker girl. Wick has a bad attitude and sarcasm to spare.

But she’s going to find this killer no matter what.

Because it just got personal.

Nothing warms the heart and soothes the soul like a kind word. So, please permit me one more opportunity to share another fabulous review of Fire & Ice. There have been so many of them lately that it takes the sting out of the very few unfavorable reviews, rendering them nearly non-existent.

And now I'm off to conquer my flu bug with some hot chicken noodle soup, a warm blanket, a box of tissues and my laptop. If there's any other feel-better remedy you know of that I've forgotten, please do let me know!

A Perfect day for a Perfect book review! "Books to Get Lost In (previously Inside the World of Books)"

Ever have one of those days where the sky is just the perfect shade of blue and the air is the perfect temperature, and the trees are lit up with the perfect colors of fall? Well today was one of those days. A day that felt utterly and completely perfect... a day where I was asking myself how does it get any better than this. And then, I read a review for my novel FIRE & ICE by Meagan Weiss, a reviewer from the blog Books To Get Lost In and I realized just how much better my perfect day could actually get! It was a spectacular five star review. She also interviewed me, which was a ton of fun. Wanna know the craziest thing I've ever done in the name of research for a novel??? It's in there! As are Meagan's thoughts on the entire story.

Here is a snippet of her review:

Okay so not only did I absolutely and utterly fall in love with this book, but I need more. Like right now!!! And not only did I love the story line and characters and the entire world of Mythlandria and everything else about this book, but I want it as a movie!!! All I kept thinking through the entire book is how amazing this would be to watch. It's like Lord of the Rings meets Harry Potter meets Alice in Wonderland mixed with some awesomeness. And all I want to do is see what this world that Michele has created looks like.
I invite you to take a peek at the full 5 star review via the link below. And don't forget to join in the rafflecopter contest for some cool prizes including an Amazon gift card, becasue I mean who doens't love winning right!?

Have yourself a perfect day!

Lynelle Clark Review and Giveaway for "Fire and Ice"

FIRE & ICE just received an awesome review, take a peek here:

Lynelle Clark Aspired Writer: Review and Giveaway for "Fire and Ice"

My 4 Star Review

I received this book from the touring host for an honest review.

A tale of magic, fairies's and every fantasy creature you could think of. Lorelei, a frightened young seventeen year old, struggling with stage fright and the fear of blood, soon discovered she had more to worry about then pestering cheerleaders and been called a freak. What set her apart was her healing ability just by touching a person, working in the Tea Room with all its interesting herbs that were actually healing the people without their knowledge. When she met Adruis she had no idea that her world was about to change, forever.

Will full, stubborn, determined, not listening to anyone, with one goal to safe her mother she lands in the land of Mythlandria.

She discovered whom she was as secrets are revealed and a prophecy unfolds taking her deeper into this land with his strange but fascinating life. Always at the run from something with Adrius always at her side. His character, steadfast, willing to risk it all for her as sacrifices are made and lives saved. The budding romance had resistance from the start with the Icy Witch claiming what was hers.

The epic story of good versus evil in a land of make believe, when truths were revealed, hearts were broken, and this mystical land became not so mystical anymore. With many twists and turns in the plot, the author captures your imagination, wondering if the day will be saved. An entertaining fantasy story for people who believe that fairies, magic and witches are real. Descriptive in her storytelling the author will keep you at the edge till the very last page.

Well written the story will pull you into the pages as scene upon scene unfolds with plenty of adventure and action waiting for her. The characters were well crafted and believable. At the end a great story.

Do You See What Eye See?

Life, I believe is about imagery. Everywhere we turn our senses are flooded with sensory input... sounds, smells, feeling, touch, and most powerfully for me, sights. I've recently come to realize how much of life I see through my inner eye, the one that sees what cannot be seen. When I'm reading or writing, the scenes play out like a movie, in full technicolor in my mind's eye, filling in details written or unwritten, as I image them to be. What I find amazing is that vision is so personal and so different for each and every person experiencing it through their own inner eyes. What they see may not resemble what I see at all; a sort of disconnected, separate vantage point from where we see the inner and outer world.

And yet, when an artist is called upon to capture something as illusive as a description, I'm often blown away by how much of the inner eye vision must actually have been shared. This was the experience I had working with the cover designer for my book, Fire & Ice. Amanda Matthews is an artist I'd never met nor spoken to, appointed by Astraea Press to design the cover for my novel. I must admit I was more than apprehensive, and being so visual, I worried and wondered, how on earth I could convey the essence of my story to someone else in a way that will give them all they need to know to successfully create a visual. A visual I really didn't fully have in my mind, which was likely a good thing. I was willing to let myself be open to the possibilities, but in secret I was preparing for the worst.

I provided a few scant detail about my story and the main characters within it and someone was supposed to create something as important as a cover from just that alone? Well, eventually there was an email from the artist, in which she detailed why she made the design choice she made. I carefully read and reread every word before going to view the image she had designed for my book cover. My baby. Every hair stood on end and I held my breath as I opened the file. And as I saw the image I nearly dropped the laptop for wanting to jump up and down.

It was amazing! Simply breathtaking! There was no one else at home that I could share it with. I immediately called my mother who as it turned out couldn't see it because of computer troubles. So I was alone, staring at the incredible image created by someone else far away that felt as though she had plucked it from my mind's eye, without my knowledge it was in there. But in truth it came from within her mind's eye, her vision so powerfully and poignantly matched my own. And so I was reminded of the many many reasons I believe, that in some small way we must on some level be a little connected to one another. Inner eye to inner eye.

Stay tuned for the big cover reveal within the next few days! The ebook version of FIRE & ICE goes on sale the first week of July.

A Passion for Fashion

This post comes after a really terrific night spent viewing the exclusive fashion line of Canadian designer Lisa Drader Murphy. I'd never heard of her before but when my Mom asked if I was interested in a attending a fashion show, I was all over it. Needless to say I was blown away not only by the amazing fashions of this designer, whose business is called Turbine Fashion, but also the amazing venue; Jennifer Naturals Salon & Spa. It's a gorgeous space, offering fabulous treatments and incredible women who own the company are... well incredible! Everyone involved in the event was beautiful and brilliant and their passion and enthusiasm were infectious. And the clothing was to die for! The evening included the opportunity to try on different outfits from their trunk show, which made me feel like I'd stepped out of the era of The Great Gatsby, when designers would bring their collections to our home for private intimate showings. The entire evening was a blast, and I'll be doing a lot of shopping at both of theses businesses. I mean what could possibly beat a fresh new look... mani/pedi, hair and a hot new outfit.... after a day like that the only things missing would be the sexy sandals to pull it together and a rockin event to show it all off! Looking good and feeling good go hand in hand in my world!

When Dreams Come True - Dream On

It's such an exciting moment when a long held dream comes true. It's almost a little surreal, while at the same time feeling perfectly natural as through it's the next logical step. Like welcoming an old friend, I want to say "Ah, there you are, what kept you?".
To end the suspense, I will share my good news. I just signed a publishing deal with Astraea Press for my novel Fire And Ice! To say I'm thrilled is somewhat of an understatement! The enthusiasm and support I've received from my agent Denise Barone and from Stephanie Taylor of Astraea Press, not to mention family and friends near and far, has been astounding and humbling. It felt like a collective journey- a collective dream, and so sharing it with the world just seems fitting.

To put a delicious cherry on top of a wonderful week, I discovered this post from my amazing success coach and music producer Jessi Jordan which it home how fortunate I am to be surrounded with such brilliance!

★ ★ ★ Congratulations to the UBER TALENTED client of mine Michele Barrow-Belisle for nabbing a publishing deal for her book FIRE AND ICE!!! Happy 2013! It's been a while since my last post, but what better time for a new one than with the coming of a new year! There is a quiet excitement for me over this new year, a soft gentle anticipation of wonderful things unfolding. But aside from all of the fantastic "BIG" things happening, there are glimpses and glimmers of even "BETTER" things. Things I find myself grateful for all over again. Snowfalls. Lattes. Cozy pj's. And best of all, the experience of watching a 12 year old girl fall in love with my novel. There is nothing quite like that feeling. She discovered a copy of it on a table at my parent's house during a family dinner. From the moment she picked it up, the book did not leave her hands all evening. From 3pm until 10pm she read, in between chatting, eating, hanging with the other kids, playing three rounds of bingo... through and between it all, she read, literally unable (or at least unwilling) to put the book down. Wow. Now that was exciting for me to see! She read 15 chapters and when it was time to leave you could see the agony in her eyes. Since the book has not yet been published, this was her only chance to finished. I think had my mother not agreed to lend her the copy, she might have camped out over night in order to finished the remaining 23 chapters!
It was a lovely sight to behold, watching before my eyes, the delight and fascination of someone so fully enthralled with something I had a part in creating. Watching her get excited at the parts I got excited over, and frustrated, upset and worried in all the right places, turning page after page, with a need to know what woudl happen next. How does it get any better than that?
She came over to me after a few hours and said with a note of seriousness and sincerity, "So far, I would rate this book as an 11 out of 10." Pretty impressive score if I do say so myself. She's anxious to finish and to read the second book and the third, which has yet to be created. But if ever I was in need of external motivation, I found it last night in the eyes of that young reader, who in the midst of a crowd of noise, laughter and merriment, hungrily flipped page after page to find out what would happened next!

Happy New Year!
May yours be shiny and bright, and filled with dreams fulfilled!
